I picked up the piano at the age of six, played for a band back in India, and loved every moment of it. Then life moved me to the UK, and for five years, it was just me and my keyboard, no band, no guidance, just quietly missing what music used to feel like. Then I found Jason on Instagram, and everything changed. The moment I saw him play, I knew. His flow, his feel for the keys, the effortless way he moves through a piece, I didn't just want to watch him, I wanted to learn from him. And learning from him has been one of the best decisions I've made at thirty. From day one, Jason has been warm, patient, and genuinely invested. He takes the time to understand where you are and what you need, never rushes ahead, and has a remarkable ability to know exactly how much to introduce in each session. If something feels like it's going over your head, he gently pulls back and finds joy in what you've already learned, which, honestly, is a skill in itself. His insistence on mastering the basics every single day has stuck with me: he's right that the fundamentals are the foundation for everything advanced that follows. What truly sets Jason apart is the care he puts in beyond the session itself. Notes arrive by the end of the day, every time, clear, thoughtful, and ready for you to revisit before the next class. He's always open to questions, no matter how simple or technical, and I say this as probably his most question-happy student. He never makes you feel like any question is too much. He's also incredibly flexible, adjusting session times across time zones without hesitation, and always finding a way to make things work. Over time, it's stopped feeling like a class and started feeling like a conversation with a friend who happens to be a brilliant musician. I'm proud to have returned to this hobby, and even prouder to be Jason's student. One day, I hope my playing is even a fraction of what his is, and that, for me, would be the greatest return of favour.
